I would like to thank the following individuals who contributed to this successful and informative event:

Forte, BART PD, Bert Hill, consultant, Municipal Transportation Authority, Rob McKenzie, San Francisco SAFE, Pauli and Timi, Valencia Cyclery , Kiesha, National Bicycle Registry, Starbucks Coffee, and, of course, Officer Matt Friedman for organizing the event.
I would also like to bring your attention to two upcoming events in the Mission District. The first is the San Francisco Fire Department’s Neighborhood Emergency Response Team Citywide Drill. It will be held at Everett Middle School on Saturday, April 14, 2012. The second event is a MUNI workshop designed to get input on proposals to make the Muni faster and more reliable. The Mission workshop will be at the Women’s Building (18th/Valencia) on Wednesday April 11 to discuss proposals for the 14 Mission and 22 Fillmore. Greetings,
I would like to begin this week’s message with the news that the Homicide Division has made an arrest in the murder of Mr.
Richard Sprauge. Mr. Sprauge was murdered on 2/19/12 on the 100 block of Julian. This arrest was the result of the hard work and collaboration between the Homicide Division and the members of Mission Station.
I am happy to announce that the Department’s Graffiti Abatement Unit along with officers from Mission Station has arrested three individuals for the January vandalism of Dolores Park.
We at Mission Station continue our efforts in the area of bicycle theft prevention. Last week I reported that theft reports were down. In January we had 50 bicycles reported stolen in the Mission. In February it was 44. As of March 22, we have had 19 reported stolen. We will continue our outreach and enforcement efforts in this area. Please remember, that our bicycle theft workshop is scheduled for March 29th.
