This week I would like to welcome back Officer John Zachos to Mission Station. Officer Zachos is a Major in the United States Army Civil Affairs Battalion. He returns to us from an eleven month deployment in Kandahar, Afghanistan. During his tour , Officer Zachos utilized his law enforcement and counter narcotics expertise, to make significant contributions to counter narcotics plans and train the Afghanistan National Security Forces. He also provided training plans on evidence collection, evidence processing and crime scene management. Officer Zachos also prepared security plans for vocational trade schools which were targeted by Taliban fighters. The United States awarded Officer Zachos the Bronze Star Medal for his contributions. Officer Zachos is now back serving your community. If you see him, please say hello...and thank you.
