I am saddened to report that there were two unrelated homicides in the Mission District this past week. The first occurred on Friday, June 8 at 1135PM at 16th and Guerrero Streets. Mr. Lorenzo Jimenez was attacked and shot after he left the Double Dutch Bar. The Media Relations Unit has Issued a press release regarding the incident. That release is currently posted on the Department website.
The second incident occurred on Tuesday, June 12 when Mr. Steven Escolon was found dead in a residence on the 5000 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard. Anyone with information regarding either of these incidents is asked to contact the SFPD Homicide Detail at (415) 553-1145, the Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444 or Text-a-Tip at TIP411 and include SFPD in the subject line of the text.
